Friends of Beacon Field Airport are proud to have written, sponsored, and dedicated the Hybla Valley AirportFairfax County Historic Marker. The almost forgotten airport was the first airfield in Virginia to receive a permit from the State Corporation Commission.
We published and maintained the companion educational and in-depth history website HyblaValleyAirport.com for over 5 years. We decided recently to take down the website and will include the contents and photos in our forthcoming book.
